This design all started with the clock. While working on finishing my husband's home office and I was trolling the internet for a George Nelson-style clock that would tie in with the beautiful set of 1950's Jens Risom office furniture we are so lucky to have inherited. All the real deal clocks from DWR were way out of our price range, so I started looking for imitations. Walmart turned out to have the best selection by far and for a 10th the price! The rest of this room was inspired by the Nelson spindle clock. The chairs have great styling that could work in many different rooms AND are so cheap...$150! And you have to love the Eileen Grey-esque table at $40!
These nailhead trim chairs are fantastic. They are actually by Safavieh and are only $439! I think they work beautifully with the turned leg coffee table. I love this chain link mirror. It is a little bit equestrian and a little bit exotic...so unique! And I like how the chain detailing is echoed in the rug and accent pillow.
Not bad Walmart...not bad at all.
